What Our Inspector Looks for

Our inspector is equipped with all the necessary electronic equipment to perform an accurate inspection including a moisture meter, amp meter, temperature probe, outlet and GFCI tester, ladder, digital camera, handheld computer and several other critical tools.

On the interior, we will check plumbing, electrical, appliances, bathrooms, kitchen, garage, outlets, heating and air-conditioning, doors, windows, locks, attic space, and other critical areas of the home.  The inspector will report of the condition of each of these areas including digital pictures of visible problems.

On the exterior, we will check roofing, structural, fascia, eaves, lighting, sprinkler systems, pool pumps, spas, and most importantly, any existing crawl space under the home.  Our inspector makes it a priority to thoroughly inspect all accessible crawl space areas to inform you of any structural damage that exists and has the experience to report on whether that damage is minor or major.  Our inspector can also provide bids and contract labor referrals for repair work.

Stephen E. Shelton is also a Certified Pest Control Operator (CPO) with over 30 years of experience in wood-destroying organisms (WDO).  Upon request, he can provide a detailed termite report including a graph of your home noting all WDO and related damage through Exterm-A-Tech, Inc.

In almost all cases, our home inspection reports and returned within 24 hours except in cases where there are significant issues and extensive reporting is necessary.
